harris cm are proud to have taken part in the Opportunity Sheffield – Sheffield City Council ‘Apprenticeships: Be Inspired 2020’ careers event at Cutlers Hall, Sheffield.
Opportunity Sheffield help create job opportunities and break down barriers to employment. They also give advice about financial incentives to employers for creating vacancies and apprenticeships.
Last year Opportunity Sheffield engaged with over 4000 individuals and helped 2000 people get into work. Their programmes include ESF Pathways, the 100 Apprenticeship Scheme, Talent Sheffield and The Building Block.
Councilor Abtisam Mohamed, Cabinet Member for Education and Skills, said: “This event links young people to businesses from across the region, to help them get a head start in their chosen career and find out more about the world of work. It’s also a great chance for employers to meet talented and enthusiastic young people currently considering their career options.
“Young people have so much to offer, as have local businesses of all sizes and in all sectors, so we are looking forward to seeing a packed event full of people building working relationships for the future.”
