Harris is playing its part in assisting Heineken, the Dutch brewing giant, with its expansion plans across its UK operations, helping to safeguard a total of 240 jobs.
We are on site at Denmark Road, Hulme, in Manchester, the world’s largest Foster’s brewery, and also the UK base for Kronenbourg 1664. As part of an overall £126 million investment in its UK operations, Heineken has earmarked £50 million for the Manchester facility.
Harris initially secured a £1 million contract, by competitive tender, to provide a new supporting structure to support six no horizontal fermenting vessels, specially imported from Holland and transported along the M62 by trailer.
Following our completion of the Horizontal Vessels works, Harris has subsequently negotiated the contract for a £500,000 extension to the nearby Yeast Building, a one/two storey project in a restricted area immediately adjacent to complex brewery process plant.
These works will commence in April 2018 for completion in July 2018.
